Democrats need to attract younger people

Barack Obama has a strong YD at ETSU
HS YD have to be restarted since 9 out of 10 will leave the area after graduation
If a HS YD is organized: what will the school allow? Use community service projects as YD. Identify goals and objectives. Need strong leadership. Need one Dem teacher and 2 strong Dem young people to organize and lead. Some YD organize outside of HS.
Using Vote Builder: people are very busy; we must get out of our comfort zone and talk and educate people about the issues

Young people use email, My Space, You Tube
County parties need to have a fire set under them to get active
New state party leaders are leading TN Dems to a strong, progressive way (Graham Sasser is 38)
Emphasize the voting records of Davis and Alexander.
